Windows 2000 Installation
1.
- On your Desktop, find "My Network Places" and right click on
the icon to select properties.

- Double click on "Make New Connection."
3.
- When the wizard appears, select the "next" button.
4.
- Select the second option, "Dial-up to the Internet" and press
the "next" button.
5.
- Select the third option, "I want to set up my Internet connection
manually..." and press the "next" button.
6.
- Select the first option, "I connect through a phone line and
a modem" and press the "next" button.
7.
- Enter the appropriate Area code and Telephone number for your
area. (Click HERE for a list of toll-free
phone numbers.) Then select the "Advanced" button.
8.
- Make sure your screen matches everything above, and then press
the "Addresses" tab at the top of the window.
9.
- Make your screen match the settings above and press the "OK"
button.
10.
- Enter your username and password in the appropriate boxes.
- Note: Make sure your username and password are in lower
case letters.
- Note: If you are located outside San Diego you must enter
your e-mail address for your username. (example: UserID@ixpres.com)
- Then press "next."
11.
- Type "Internet Express" for the connection name and then press
the "next" button.
12.
- When asked to set up an Internet mail account, select the "no"
radio button and then press "next."
13.
- Uncheck the box above, and select the "Finish" button.
14.
- Double click on the "Internet Explorer" icon on the desktop
and the following screen will be displayed with your user information.
- Select the "Dial" button to connect you to the Internet!
